Lincoln Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Center is pleased to announce we will be hosting Tinguinha BJJ Academy Brown Belt Cole Franson for two seminars in early October. On Friday, October 6th, 2017, from 6:00pm-8:00pm, Cole will teach a No-gi seminar, and on Saturday, October 7th, from 11:00am-1:00pm Cole will teach a gi-seminar. The cost to LBJJC members will be $30 per seminar or $50 for both seminars. We are currently accepting reservations for LBJJC members only, but if the seminars have not filled up by Saturday, September 23rd 2017, we’ll open the registration up to the public at a cost of $45 for a single seminar, or $65 for both seminars.
Please call the school, e-mail or Facebook message Greg, or sign up on the bulletin board to reserve your spot!
There will be a few slight schedule changes accompanying these seminars. On Friday 10/6/17, the MMA class will be moved to 8:00pm, immediately following the seminar. And on Saturday, 10/7/17, Open Mat will be pushed back from 1:00pm-3:00pm.
Seminars offered by brown belts are a little unusual, but I wanted to bring Cole out for a few reasons. The biggest reason is that he is an absolute killer with a very technical game. Recent competition highlights include UAEJJF U.S. National Pro Champion, IBJJF Seattle Open Champion, IBJJF Chicago open Champion. Cole is also a 4 time No-Gi World Championships medalist-most recently, Cole earned a bronze medal in the brown belt featherweight division in 2016. The second reason is that he plays a very different style of jiu-jitsu than I do, and this is a great opportunity to learn some new and different techniques. And last, I wanted to bring Cole out to help forge a closer connection between Tinguinha’s Headquarters, and his Nebraska affiliate.
