To get all of our athletes ready for upcoming fights and sport jiu-jitsu matches, we will be running competition classes during February and March. To accommodate these classes, the Saturday open mat will begin at noon, (30 minutes later than usual) for the months of February and March of 2019. The normal schedule will resume in April of 2019.
For our youth competitors, we are going to turn our Friday night Youth Advanced class into a competition class for February and March. This class will continue to focus on advanced techniques, but we will add some high rep drilling and extra sparring to the schedule.
For our adult competitors, we are going to add a competition class on Saturday morning from 11:00am until 12:00pm. We’ll use this class for some extra drilling and sparring. We are also going to designate the Wednesday and Thursday night advanced classes as sparring nights for this camp; these classes will place a slightly heavier emphasis on sparring than normal classes. Adult competitors can also get extra drilling in at Josh Cather’s Monday Noon classes.
The competition class schedule will begin on Friday, February 8th, 2019.
If you are thinking of competing, please contact Greg ASAP this week, before the competition schedule begins!
